Based on research and internal focus group discussions, GIFT developed a ten-year policy strategy for Hong Kong’s municipal solid waste management to tackle the growing problems of lack of landfill space. The strategy considered an integrated approach of reduce, re-use, recycle and avoidance measures including incineration and producer responsibility.
